How it Works

What's the NIA process?

The participation process for the National Innovation Awards is pretty much straightforward as shown below.

1

Get Appointed

To submit a valid innovation to the NIA Studentpreneur Edition, you must have been appointed by your institution of higher learning as an Innovation Champion

2

Register your account

The second step is to register your account with your details as the appointed champion and the details of your institution. If you already have one, go ahead and log in to your account.

3

Add Innovation Details

On your profile page, you add the 4 innovations you have selected from your institution. Make sure they meet the eligibility criteria and enter all required information correctly to increase its chances of selection.

4

Shortlisting and Selection

After the application period closes, you will no longer be able to edit the innovation details. During this period, all innovators will go through a rigorous process, with several rounds of selection and elimination until the top 12 innovators are selected.

6

Pitching and Awarding at KIW 2022

If selected, the student innovators will be invited to pitch on the 7th December to a panel of judges and an audience of industry experts. The top 12 innovators to be awarded will be chosen from thepitching results.
